Trump Calls Out NATO Members

Liberals, Democrats and the Mainstream Media are criticizing President Trump for standing up to NATO on behalf of the US taxpayers because NATO Members are not paying their fair share.

The fact is the United States spends more than any other NATO member, both in total cost and as a percentage of G.D.P. in order to protect them. On top of that we lose $151 Billion on Trade with the European Union. They charge us big Tariffs and impose Trade Barriers.

All together, the 29 alliance members spent an estimated $917 billion on defense in 2017, and the U.S. portion was about $686 billion which is about 70%.

The President said , “It is not fair to the U.S. taxpayers.”

President Trump also called out Germany saying, ” it is not fair to American taxpayers that Germany buys oil and gas from Russia while enjoying the umbrella of defense provided by U.S. dollars. Germany is a captive of Russia, pointing out that Germany pays “billions and billions of dollars” to a Russia for energy that they could buy from the US. Trump said that was, “inappropriate.” He added: “Germany is a rich country.” and said he has no intention of easing pressure on alliance nations just because Europe is nervous that tensions within NATO could empower Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Former Obama Secretary of State John Kerry was highly critical of President Trumps defense of the American taxpayers.¬†¬†John Kerry needs to check where his loyalty is, ‘Americans or greedy Europeans’.

President Trump asked,”How can we be stronger when a country is getting energy from the person you want to protect against?”
